Terrarium Workshops

Learn how to construct your own terrarium in this two-hour workshop.  Fun to create and easy to care for, a terrarium is a great way to bring the outdoors in to your home this winter!  Workshop emphasis will be placed on selecting the right plants for your specific light conditions and care instructions will be included with each terrarium.

Terrarium Show @ Structure

Jessica Suzanne Roundy, of jsr.design+scape, will be launching her third Terrarium Show–terrari three: aer, flor, vivar–on Saturday, November 17th at Structure Bodywork & Massage in the Old Ballard Carnegie Library.
  
The show will feature three terrarium series: aer (hanging air plant terrariums), flor (modern flora terrariums), and vivar (whimsical dinosaur “vivariums.”)

The latest JSR.DESIGN+SCAPE Terrarium Show is now up at the Latona Pub by Green Lake, featuring dinosaur terrariums.  Come by, have a great pint of local beer, and scope out the jurassic show.

Terrarium Show @ Cafe Lulu

Terrarium Show

JSR.DESIGN+SCAPE is excited to announce the opening of a terrarium show at Cafe Lulu, in Green Lake.  The collection of terrariums designed and constructed by Jessica Roundy includes a collaboration with local glass artists Brooke Freed and Justin Bagley, of Bluejays + Bumblebees, who have designed and hand blown beautiful hanging globes.

The show will run until the first week of March, concluding with a terrarium workshop on March 1st.  In lieu of an official opening, we’ll be hosting a series of “coffee hours with the artists” beginning this weekend.  Come in and see the show, enjoy a cup of coffee, and have your questions about the wonders of terrariums answered!  Jessica will be on site at the Cafe this weekend on Saturday from 9-11 am, and Sunday from 11-1.  The next set of “coffee hours” will be the weekend of February 18th/19th.

Jessica Suzanne Roundy holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.  Jessica’s previous work includes both residential and community-based projects, with a focus on collaboration and inter-disciplinary processes.
